Omar Brownson
For the Living Altar, Omar Brownson appreciated being in a sacred circle with leaders of color grounded in ecology and spirit. His own contribution was born of
Qi Gong as a rain dance. The rain dance inspires abundance and being in right relationship within, with each other, and with our planet . Omar takes an entrepreneurial approach to changemaking and pushing the boundaries of nature and culture. Previously, he led a collaboration with Frank Gehry and local leaders to reimagine the 51-mile Los Angeles River as a linear central park and healthy ecosystem. Then, he stumbled into the practice of gratitude or what he calls making good visible.
Omar went on to co-found the gratitude app gthx (as in “give thanks”) and now co-hosts the Gratitude Blooming Podcast.
